About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead requirements gathering sessions, business process analysis, and fit/gap assessments.
- Design functional Oracle EBS HCM solutions that align with client business objectives and industry best practices.
- Configure and support Oracle EBS HCM modules, including Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, and related applications.
- Develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and customizations.
- Partner with technical consultants to design, test, troubleshoot, and deploy custom solutions and integrations.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing, production deployments, and post-production support.
- Evaluate Oracle patches and upgrades, assess business impact, and recommend implementation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, test scripts, training materials, and other project documentation.
- Provide functional leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite HCM consulting experience.
- Experience implementing and supporting Oracle EBS HCM solutions for organizations with unionized workforces, including Human Resources and Payroll processes governed by collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong understanding of union pay grades, salary structures, seniority rules, step progression, shift differentials, and other union-specific HR and payroll processes.
- Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, and related HCM modules.
- Demonstrated experience leading Oracle EBS HCM implementations and support engagements.
- Experience gathering business requirements, conducting fit/gap analysis, designing solutions, configuring applications, and supporting testing activities.
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, including data structures, interfaces, APIs, reports, Fast Formula, PL/SQL concepts, and integrations.
- Hands-on development experience is not required, but the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams is essential.
- Experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, test plans, and user documentation.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and priorities in a consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
