Plan, coordinate, and execute complex data conversion and migration projects
Develop and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
Analyse and map data from legacy systems to new platforms
Perform data cleansing, validation, and deduplication
Collaborate with IT and business departments to define data conversion requirements and objectives
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during the conversion process
Create and maintain documentation of data conversion procedures, mapping rules, and processes
Develop reports to monitor data quality and migration project progress

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven professional experience as a Data Conversion Specialist, Data Migration Specialist, or in a similar role
Strong proficiency with SQL and extensive experience with relational database systems
Demonstrable experience with ETL tools and data migration methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is highly desirable
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is advantageous
