About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair.
  • Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment.
  • Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter.
  • Can follow lock out/tag out policy.
  • Help implement continuous improvement processes including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations & company procedures.
  • Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repairs.
  • Implement mentoring responsibilities for orienting, training, & assigning work related tasks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Read and comprehend technical manuals
  • Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military technical training
  • 5 years experience with mechanical and electrical systems including conveyor/sortation systems or similar equipment.
  • Two years leadership or mentoring experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Oversee the completion of multiple tasks
  • Prefer knowledge of building codes, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, and OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems
  • Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds
