About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair.
- Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment.
- Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment.
- Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter.
- Can follow lock out/tag out policy.
- Help implement continuous improvement processes including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations & company procedures.
- Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repairs.
- Implement mentoring responsibilities for orienting, training, & assigning work related tasks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Read and comprehend technical manuals
- Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
- High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military technical training
- 5 years experience with mechanical and electrical systems including conveyor/sortation systems or similar equipment.
- Two years leadership or mentoring experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Oversee the completion of multiple tasks
- Prefer knowledge of building codes, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, and OSHA regulations
- Working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems
- Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds
