About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment
  • Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment
  • Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter
  • Assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment
  • Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as electrical, lighting, HVAC, & conveyor systems
  • Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data
  • Read technical manuals and document changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training
  • 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems
  • 1 year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair
  • Read and comprehend technical manuals
  • Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC
  • Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds
