About the role
- Lead a high-performing team of cloud engineers, providing strategic direction and guidance
- Help improve and expand the use of cloud technologies, ensuring that governance frameworks and best practices are clearly defined and applied
- Oversee the Cloud Finance Operations (FinOps) practice, including the management, reporting, and analysis of a multi-million-dollar annual cloud budget
- Report to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering
- Establish and uphold organization-wide cloud policies, and implement disciplined FinOps practices to manage costs and provide transparent financial reporting
- Guide the secure deployment of latest cloud technologies
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in a medium-to-large IT environment
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- Cloud FinOps proficiency; competence in IT budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience managing project and cloud licensing costs, ensuring compliance and optimization of database resources
- Experience collaborating with IT leaders and teams to align cloud solutions with broader IT strategies, such as application development, operations, and cybersecurity
