About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advising employees on payroll queries and other department-related topics such as insurance, tax class selection, etc.
Supporting the People (HR) team with payroll-related questions
Performing monthly SOX and IKS (internal control system) checks and related documentation in the context of payroll
Ensuring proper documentation of master data changes and bulk data entry
Preparing payroll-related statistics and personnel reports
Assisting in the calculation of provisions and coordinating with Finance
Reviewing and approving personnel master data entered in Workday
Performing necessary data maintenance throughout the employee life cycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial/vocational training, ideally in HR, and/or relevant professional experience
Comprehensive knowledge of tax and social security law
Good knowledge of working time regulations and federal vacation law
Good user-level experience in data maintenance in SAP HCM (payroll and time management)
Proficient in the MS Office suite
Responsible and service-oriented advisory approach
Independent and structured way of working
English language skills are a plus
