About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You are responsible for managing the household appliances merchandise group (SDA/MDA).
- You are responsible for organizing effective procurement strategies.
- You are responsible for the development and further development of new and existing products, programs and show concepts for various channels.
- You ensure achievement of the earnings budget for your area.
- You provide functional leadership to Junior Buyers and Assistant Buyers in your team with respect to assortment strategy and product selection.
- You regularly visit trade fairs and suppliers at home and abroad to develop new, future-proof concepts for multichannel retailing.
- You negotiate the best possible purchase prices and terms with suppliers.
- You set competitive prices while adhering to the division's pricing strategy.
- You ensure timely placement of daily deals, product premieres, campaigns and events.
- You are responsible for optimizations regarding efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have a degree in business administration with a focus on retail.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in national or international procurement, ideally in a multichannel environment.
- You possess product and market knowledge and retail experience in the relevant product area.
- You are creative and have experience in product development.
- You have very strong analytical and conceptual skills and can make timely decisions and prioritize even under high pressure.
- You have negotiation skills and a strong customer orientation.
- You are highly proactive and open to taking on new tasks, ideas and embracing change.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- You speak fluent German and English.
