About the role
- Manage and further develop multiple product areas within Buying
- Lead and develop the Buying team
- Develop and implement multichannel assortment and product strategies for designer brands
- Organize effective sourcing strategies for private-label and third‑party brands
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships as well as internal and external networks
- Evaluate and select suppliers and brands, including trade-fair visits and market analyses
- Define and implement assortment guidelines, pricing strategies and new product concepts
- Use reports and analyses to optimize results and present strategies to executive management
- Ensure and improve processes, efficiency and quality
- Represent the department and the company internally and externally
Requirements
- Several years of experience in international buying, ideally in a multichannel environment
- University degree in business administration with a focus on retail (desirable)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Deep product and market knowledge in the relevant area
- Fluent German and business‑fluent English, with willingness to travel internationally
- Leadership experience, strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong customer orientation and team spirit
- Self‑initiative, decisiveness, flexibility and diplomatic skills
