About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads technical transformation projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ensures adherence to governance and risk management standards.
- Works closely with Finance to align and track project budget and savings, and ensures the project meets the success criteria and business benefits stated in the Business Case and/or PID.
- Represents the project in various governance and inter-department forums and serves as a subject matter authority and a senior project management community member.
- Leads sophisticated, large-scale and/or high-risk projects that involve multiple senior internal and external partners and prioritises high impact deadlines and activities.
- Defines and reports on project progress and achievement of project breakthroughs, and updates key partners on project status and issues.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to balance multiple projects, flexibility, responsiveness, stakeholder management, risk management, and end-to-end accountability.
- Continual reassessment of operational and project level risks, mitigation of delivery risks, and escalation of issues where necessary.
- Drive, passion, planning, interpersonal, mentor, communication, and presentation skills.
- Global experience, working with teams in multiple locations simultaneously, and experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations.
- Background in working across several different sectors both business and IT related projects/programmes, and technologies in the End User Services product space
