About the role
- Image research and image editing
- Data management
- Media-appropriate processing of analog and digital data into graphics for our print and online products
- Graphic and design execution of topics commissioned by editors
- Development of design ideas taking modern storytelling approaches into account, in close cooperation with the editorial team
- Graphic development and maintenance of our web portals and apps
- Checking and ensuring compliance with layout standards
- Organizing and conducting image searches in the editorial content management system
- Preparing final artwork and print-ready files
Requirements
- Practical experience in the design development and production of a magazine
- Completed degree in Graphic and Communication Design (we cannot consider applications from Mediengestalter)
- Proficient in Photoshop CS5, InDesign CS5 and Illustrator CS5
- Proficient with Mac
- Strong sense for image selection, layout and typography
- Technical interest
- Independent, goal-oriented and careful working style, also under time pressure
- Commitment and creativity in concept development and design
- Sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team
