About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery
- Coordinate client intake, scheduling, staffing, and care plan implementation
- Monitor service quality and client satisfaction through regular follow-up
- Ensure all client and employee records are accurate and maintained according to state regulations
- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate office staff and caregivers
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action when necessary
- Support caregiver retention through engagement, coaching, and recognition programs
- Ensure all caregivers meet licensing, training, and background clearance requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, case managers, assisted living communities, and other referral sources
- Participate in networking events and community outreach initiatives
- Develop and execute branch growth strategies to increase census and revenue
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the San Diego area
- Manage branch budget, payroll oversight, and operational expenses
- Review financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability
- Monitor scheduling efficiency and labor utilization
- Ensure timely billing and collections in coordination with administrative staff
- Maintain compliance with California Department of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau requirements and all applicable labor laws
- Prepare for audits, surveys, and inspections
- Ensure HIPAA confidentiality standards are followed
- Investigate and resolve complaints, incidents, and service concerns promptly
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services
- Strong knowledge of California home care regulations preferred
- Proven leadership, sales, and operational management experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and home care software systems
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
