About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery
  • Coordinate client intake, scheduling, staffing, and care plan implementation
  • Monitor service quality and client satisfaction through regular follow-up
  • Ensure all client and employee records are accurate and maintained according to state regulations
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate office staff and caregivers
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action when necessary
  • Support caregiver retention through engagement, coaching, and recognition programs
  • Ensure all caregivers meet licensing, training, and background clearance requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, case managers, assisted living communities, and other referral sources
  • Participate in networking events and community outreach initiatives
  • Develop and execute branch growth strategies to increase census and revenue
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the San Diego area
  • Manage branch budget, payroll oversight, and operational expenses
  • Review financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability
  • Monitor scheduling efficiency and labor utilization
  • Ensure timely billing and collections in coordination with administrative staff
  • Maintain compliance with California Department of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau requirements and all applicable labor laws
  • Prepare for audits, surveys, and inspections
  • Ensure HIPAA confidentiality standards are followed
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, incidents, and service concerns promptly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services
  • Strong knowledge of California home care regulations preferred
  • Proven leadership, sales, and operational management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and home care software systems
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
