About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for Traffic Management System support and customer issue resolution
  • Respond to support requests through the ticketing system and support hotline
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, communications, and network issues related to traffic management platforms and ITS devices
  • Configure and maintain traffic signals, PTZ cameras, Dynamic Message Signs, traffic detectors, and other ITS technologies
  • Manage incidents according to client-specific SLAs and ensure timely resolution
  • Train agency personnel on Q-Free systems, products, and software features
  • Document system architecture, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Support system backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Software Engineers, QA teams, Database Administrators, and customer stakeholders
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 transportation operations
  • Identify process improvements and recommend technical solutions that enhance system performance and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience
  • Experience supporting ITS technologies, traffic signals, traffic management systems, or related transportation technologies
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments, networking concepts, and system administration
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, communications, and network issues
  • Experience with VPNs, remote access tools, and database administration
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
  • Experience with Jasper Reports, TMDD, GraphQL, SOAP, or REST APIs
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, configuration management, and change control processes
  • Experience supporting complex, mission-critical environments operating 24x7x365
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
