About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver procurement projects aligned to Public Sector regulations and best practice, including the Procurement Act 2023 and Sourcing Playbooks
  • Design Delivery Model Assessments, Category Strategies and Procurement Strategies for complex, high-value or novel categories
  • Guide clients through digital transformation of Commercial and Procurement functions from strategy development through implementation
  • Identify digital innovation opportunities, including automation, data analytics and advanced technologies
  • Develop and execute digital strategies that enhance operational capabilities and drive competitive advantage
  • Run procurements from early market engagement through contract award
  • Implement effective contract management and Strategic Supplier Relationship Management
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify supply-chain cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
  • Develop and implement cost-management strategies, cost-control and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Analyse operational practices and streamline Commercial and Procurement processes
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with client goals and industry standards
  • Lead change-management efforts to support adoption of new processes and technologies
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Lead project teams, manage timelines and ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in the Public Sector, such as Transport, Central Government, Arm’s Length Bodies or Local Government
  • Focus on procurement, digital transformation, cost reduction and operations improvement
  • Hands-on experience with public-sector procurement regulations, including PCR and UCR
  • Strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023
  • Proven track record of successful projects in consulting, professional services or industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies, including data analytics software and source-to-pay solutions used in the Public Sector
  • Ability to travel as required to meet client needs
  • No work visa sponsorship available
  • Government clearance is not required
