About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the dispute docket by managing matter strategy, case progression, timelines, status reporting, risk assessments, and escalation of significant developments
  • Provide legal support and management for employment allegations raised in pre-litigation outreach
  • Assess factual backgrounds, legal issues, potential exposure, and recommended resolution strategies
  • Coordinate with OGC attorneys, People Team stakeholders, Ethics & Compliance, Partner Affairs, business stakeholders, and outside counsel
  • Gather information and documents, prepare witnesses, align messaging, and ensure timely execution of dispute-related workstreams
  • Conduct legal and factual research
  • Review employment records, internal policies, and relevant documentation to support litigation strategy, agency responses, settlement discussions, and internal decision-making
  • Drive disciplined matter management practices, including maintaining tracking tools, organizing case materials, monitoring deadlines, supporting reporting obligations, and identifying process improvements for the Employment Law Group disputes portfolio
  • Provide strategic legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance
  • Motivate and coach teams, apply sound judgment, escalate issues when appropriate, and foster diverse and inclusive teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA LLB or similar degree
  • At least 13–18 years of experience
  • LLB/JD/LLM
  • Experience managing multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating with outside counsel for legal solutions
  • Ability to monitor legal and regulatory developments
  • Ability to build relationships with senior organizational members
  • Experience establishing processes to address recurring issues
  • Familiarity with legal productivity technology tools
  • Legal and factual research skills
  • Employment law, litigation strategy, agency responses, settlement discussions, and dispute management knowledge
