About the role
- Provide audit support and actuarial consulting services to a range of (re)insurers, from SEC registrants to single-parent captives
- Supervise and mentor junior actuarial staff and provide guidance to audit and advisory staff on actuarial issues
- Manage engagement economics to enhance efficiency and profitability
- Analyse and manage financial risks through statistical modelling and data analysis to generate insights and recommendations
- Support a market-leading audit practice and contribute to the growth of the actuarial consulting practice with exposure to both audit and advisory projects
Requirements
- Nearly or fully qualified actuary (Associate or Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, Canadian Institute of Actuaries, or equivalent)
- 7+ years of practicing experience within the insurance industry
- Reserving experience across a range of Property & Casualty lines of business (required)
- Capital experience welcomed but not essential
- Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships
- Experience with leading teams and in people management, including coaching and developing staff
- Ability to provide audit support and actuarial consulting services to (re)insurers
- Available for travel up to 20%
