About the role
- Work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution
- Advise clients on their tax obligations across unique tax specialties
- Assist in various aspects of merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency
- Focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyze and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts
- Create dashboards using Tableau and Power BI
- Develop networks and build strong relationships with senior members of the team
- Innovate and research new products, tools and techniques to solve business process challenges
- Understand the process of workflow related to work requests from initiation through completion and how workflow is managed within the firm's workflow management tool.
Requirements
- 3-4 years' experience in Data Analytics role
- Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools - Alteryx (a must) and either Power BI or Tableau
- Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project or any other project Management tool
- Financially literate: understanding of accounting and key finance concepts and processes
- Professional accounting qualification
- Certification in analytic tools
- Other analytics/modeling experience, for example using tools such as MS Excel (Inc VBA), SQL and RPA
- Experience working on Tax automation/ analytics projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team and work on multiple projects at once
- Proven ability to delegate tasks and work streams to other team members and leverage other business shared resources to deliver complex financial models
- Willingness to contribute to the creation of a new proposition and to bring new ideas/solutions to the table
- Keen interest in staying up to speed with technology solutions and applying / implementing new ways of working / solutions to projects
- Excellent communication skills and personal impact, as well as a keen interest in developing self and others
- Is a team player, committed to providing high quality and maintaining timelines
- Demonstrates self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
- Is committed to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes.
