About the role
- Collaborate closely with senior staff on statutory audit engagements, guiding projects from initial planning through to final review and contributing to the evolution of our auditing practices.
- Play a pivotal role in building public trust by delivering high-quality audits of financial statements that enhance the financial integrity and transparency of our clients.
- Work directly with clients and high-performing teams to understand business needs, ensure compliance with policies and standards, test internal controls, and substantiate financial information using best-practice audit methodologies.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and graduates, fostering a culture of excellence while supporting their professional growth and development.
- Leverage leading-edge technology to deliver high-quality external audit work in line with PwC audit methodology and auditing standards, helping set new benchmarks for quality and innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience delivering external audit engagements within a complex, regulated environment.
- Professionally qualified or actively working towards a recognized accounting qualification (e.g. CAANZ, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience contributing to end-to-end external audit engagements, including coaching, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong working knowledge of internationally recognized financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS.
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a closely related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
