About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and provide guidance to a team of Guidewire developers
  • Deliver Guidewire implementation services to General Insurance clients
  • Advise clients on technology to achieve key business objectives
  • Work across core Guidewire and related platforms, including document management, finance, digital, and data technologies
  • Identify, define, and lead continuous improvement activities to increase solution quality and delivery velocity
  • Maintain and fix issues across development, QA, UAT, and production environments
  • Participate in unit testing and documentation
  • Allocate work, lead technical designs, conduct code reviews, and manage code merge activities
  • Collaborate with developer leads, project managers, Business Analyst Leads, and wider technology teams
  • Work with client business SMEs to understand requirements and develop viable solutions
  • Grow the Guidewire practice in PwC Australia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Real time knowledge and experience on enterprise system integration, preferably from Insurance domain background
  • Good understanding and experience in software architecture, design patterns and software development best practices
  • Experience on Guidewire Cloud and PolicyCenter; BillingCenter and ClaimCenter considered
  • Experience with Guidewire APD, Guidewire Testing Framework, Integration Gateway, Guidewire Studio, Guidewire Cloud Console, Git/Bucket, and related toolsets
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres databases and proficiency in SQL
  • Experience maintaining and fixing issues across dev, QA, UAT, and production environments
  • Experience with unit testing and documentation
  • Experience integrating with Document Management, Finance, Digital, and other platforms
  • Strong oral and written business and technical communication skills
  • Proven technical and people leadership skills, including leading development teams, work allocation, technical designs, code reviews, and code merge activities
  • Ability to work with and influence wider technology teams
  • Ability to work with client business SMEs to understand requirements and translate them into viable solutions
