About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and embody the Data vision
Define Purse's data vision and strategy, prioritize initiatives, and align Product, Engineering and Business teams on a coherent and ambitious roadmap
Manage and lead the Data team
Recruit, structure and develop Purse's Data team
Own the identification and implementation of AI opportunities in our products and internal processes
Be responsible for the setup and scaling of high-performance data pipelines and cloud architectures to support all our Data/AI needs
Establish frameworks for data privacy, security and ethics
Oversee the analysis, mapping and restructuring of existing data flows
Create the conditions for Business Analysts to take ownership of data
Actively participate in projects with our partner merchants

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience structuring a Data/AI department within a Fintech, scale-up or demanding B2B environment
Strong, confident personality able to engage directly with clients to defend a technological vision and showcase Purse's data asset
Ability to recruit, unite and develop a high-performing team
Demonstrated expertise in GCP, Vertex AI, SQL and Python
Ability to implement practical AI solutions for fraud prevention, authentication and optimization of financial flows
