About the role
- Sr. Project Manager for Resource Development Technical team focusing on development of new assets (wind, solar, energy storage, and other technologies) for PSE’s generation portfolio.
Direct and control high-risk, multi-function projects requiring stakeholder coordination across PSE, state, county/municipal organizations and communities.
Initiate projects including stakeholder assessment, business need demonstration, and project feasibility evaluation.
Lead project teams to define timeframes, methods, and resource allotment; develop contractor SOWs, bid documents, equipment specs, and coordinate estimates.
Uphold safety compliance, promote safety culture, and ensure duties align with regulatory obligations.
Manage scope, schedule, budget development, forecasting, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
At least eight years relevant project management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and techniques, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports.
Extensive knowledge of team management techniques to bring about agreement between divergent points of view.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting and finance principals.
Extensive experience with utility methods, techniques and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
Strong knowledge in project management discipline to effectively arrange resources and manage multiple medium to high complexity projects in a cross-functional environment.
Extensive knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in development of project affecting their community.
Strong negotiating and critical thinking skills.
Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented and collaborative attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for the project, and solid work ethic are expected.
Leadership skills that can energize a multidisciplinary work team to respond to business needs.
