💰 $80,200 - $115,800 per year

About the role

  • Monitor gas distribution systems using SCADA and related control systems.
  • Analyze and respond to pressures, flows, and alarms to ensure system integrity.
  • Learn and develop knowledge load forecasting.
  • Manages and reviews alarm database for accuracy and proper safety related settings.
  • Document system events and operational changes accurately.
  • Supports, troubleshoots and advice on energy control staff with upgrades to the gas SCADA system.
  • Assist with emergency response coordination.
  • Once operator qualified, work staggered 24/7 schedule to monitor and control the gas distribution system.
  • Provide shift coverage as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Operator Qualified (OQ) gas controller within 2 years
  • Demonstrated skills with MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer sciences or related field (desired)
  • Experience in operations monitoring, dispatch, utilities, pipeline, or industrial environments (desired)
  • Familiarity with SCADA or other control systems (desired)
