About the role
- Leads project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management of large corporate projects.
- Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
- Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource changes.
- Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.
- Manages project budget and evaluates cost and schedule impacts of project plan changes.
- Ensures quality and consistency of project management.
- Supports emergency response work as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of experience managing complex major projects and project budgets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of team management and communication techniques.
- Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports.
- Advanced project management skills and training.
- Knowledge of utility operations, standards, and construction practices.
- Knowledge of estimating, materials, scheduling and project accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in project development.
