Assist senior staff in the development and running of econometric and statistical forecasting models and analytical frameworks
Assist with development and maintenance of input and output databases necessary to perform long-term load forecasting analyses
Extract data from various internal and external systems
Develop code to conduct exploratory analysis, cleanse/massage, or aggregate data, and to automate work processes at the direction of senior staff
Create data visualizations to derive meaningful insights
Regularly run reports of forecast versus actuals and to track other intelligence
Support development of written documents and presentations to help effectively communicate results of research and analyses
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field
Ability to perform complex mathematical analysis
Solid written, interpersonal, and group communication skills
Demonstrated ability to be a supportive team member
Master’s/PhD degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, data science or similar fields (desired)
Experience in economic or energy-related forecasting, data science, energy efficiency evaluation or related field (desired)
Knowledge of forecasting and econometric theory and applications (desired)
Experience with statistical analyses and econometric modeling (desired)
Experience with databases and using database applications to support research and analytics (desired)
Knowledge of energy forecasting tools such as Itron MetrixND/LT and Forecast Manager, LoadSEER, and EViews (desired)
Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python or other data analytic programming tools (desired)
Experience with data visualization and dashboard reporting software such as Tableau or Power BI (desired)
Experience with SAP BW, SAP HANA, PI (desired)
Superior Excel spreadsheet skills including development of charts, and familiarity with the other Microsoft applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint (desired)
