About the role
- Responsible for supporting the multi-site, high availability Gas SCADA system.
- Assist in support and troubleshooting the operational SCADA environment as well as insuring optimized monitoring and reporting for solid system reliability.
- Engage with the customer, guiding and leading them through solutions, and ultimately delivering successful projects.
- Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of a mission critical, high availability IT monitoring and control system (SCADA).
- Enhance and maintain all primary and peripheral systems that make up the Gas SCADA environment.
- Design, develop, deploy and support applications to meet the needs of primary and secondary internal customers.
- Collaborate with applicable parties to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot remote devices and systems of varying types and complexity using all available resources in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years IT experience, including several years of systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications.
- 5+ years hands-on systems experience in one or more specialized technical requirements modules appropriate for the job.
- Possesses full technical knowledge of phases of software development life cycle.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools.
- Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.
- Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills for smaller projects.
