About the role

  • Manage the design, development, measurement of impact, and maintenance of scalable learning solutions for ongoing training programs and targeted business initiatives
  • Own training program(s) from start to finish and partner with internal and business stakeholders to ensure employee development and performance standards are met
  • Produce learning solutions end-to-end and be hands-on during deployment, stakeholder engagement, and feedback loops
  • Uphold safety compliance standards and promote a culture of total safety
  • Manage training programs and projects using ADDIE or SAM models, perform needs and root-cause analysis, and prioritize program roadmaps
  • Create mechanisms to measure impact and continuously improve training programs; translate results into ROI
  • Manage turnover and maintenance plans for training products where Training Dept may not have long-term presence
  • Create and manage communication strategies for program/project strategy, priorities, risks, and status
  • Manage vendor partners, delivery media, eLearning applications; maintain training content on SharePoint, LMS, and shared drives
  • Mentor SMEs, deliver instructor-led training if necessary, act as performance improvement consultant, and understand PSE business and mission

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of training and development, or HR experience in a program/project management role preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and cultivate strong working relationships
  • Proficient with suite of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications
  • Demonstrated organization, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage projects, work with other departmental teams and deliver on commitments
  • Ability to contribute effectively in peer management teams
  • Skills and experience in collaboration and team building
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to challenge others, often in higher positions, respectfully
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, drive work forward with little supervision
