About the role
- Sales Representative – Payments & BNPL on PublicSquare's PSQ Payments Platform team, you’ll be at the forefront of growing our merchant network and driving adoption of PSQ Payments and Credova’s Buy Now, Pay Later solutions.
- This role calls for a strong sales foundation, solid relationship-building skills, and a working knowledge of payment processing and/or BNPL. You’ll partner directly with merchants to understand their needs, showcase our solutions, and support them through a smooth and successful onboarding experience.
- This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about providing businesses with values-aligned payment solutions.
- Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and engaging prospective merchants, educating them on PSQ Payments and BNPL solutions.
- Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and outreach to closing deals and onboarding merchants.
- Building strong relationships with merchants, understanding their needs, and providing tailored payment solutions.
- Collaborating with the merchant onboarding, enablement and technical teams to ensure a smooth setup and launch.
- Staying up to date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes in payments and BNPL.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and merchant interactions in the CRM system.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets while contributing to the overall growth of PublicSquare’s Fintech division.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the Payments, BNPL, or broader FinTech industry.
- Strong understanding of payment processing workflows and/or BNPL solutions.
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-first mindset with a drive to help businesses grow through smart financial technology.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficient with CRM tools and sales reporting processes.
- Familiarity with merchant onboarding, payment pricing, and transaction security.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, and WooCommerce.
- Comfortable discussing value propositions related to conversion optimization, average order value growth, and checkout experience.
