About the role
- Responsible for developing, executing, and tracking the performance of security measures
- Collaborate with users to discuss computer data access needs
- Utilize data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools to protect data
- Develop and implement plans to safeguard digital data
- Review security procedure violations and provide training
- Monitor and restrict access to sensitive data
- Perform risk assessments, audits, and tests
- Safeguard system security and improve server efficiency
- Determine when to update virus protection systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity preferred
- Security+ required
- CISSP or CISM preferred
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient with a broad array of security software applications and tools
- Thorough understanding of computer-related security systems, including firewalls, encryption, and password protection and authentication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
