About the role

  • Own end-to-end closure of senior AI, ML, multimodal, backend, and engineering hires globally.
  • Identify, engage, and close exceptional global talent for frontier AI roles.
  • Build adjacency maps of companies, labs, and communities working on relevant frontier problems.
  • Generate technical screening prompts, knockout questions, and rubrics independently.
  • Source beyond LinkedIn using GitHub, arXiv, OSS repos, Kaggle, Twitter, Discord, Substack, niche forums, and micro-communities.
  • Craft and execute compelling outreach campaigns using artifact-first hooks and Proximity’s track record.
  • Drive urgency by compressing interview loops, managing notice-period negotiations and buyouts, and delivering offers quickly.
  • Ensure evidence-backed sourcing with GitHub repos, demos, papers, and talks while maintaining a world-class candidate experience.
  • Meet hiring KPIs and SLAs: deliver 6–8 frontier hires per quarter, 80% evidence-backed candidates, rapid feedback and time-to-offer targets.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as an individual contributor recruiter, not just a TA manager.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing frontier AI, ML, backend, or engineering talent globally.
  • Strong technical comprehension; comfortable with transformer fine-tuning, multimodal pipelines involving video, audio, and text, MLOps stacks, scalable backend systems, and related domains.
  • Evidence of artifact-based sourcing such as GitHub repos, OSS contributions, research papers, or competition wins.
  • Experience in persuasive multi-touch outreach campaigns and passive talent conversion.
  • Global exposure and ability to recruit across India, EU, LATAM, or other regions with cost-sensitive hiring strategies.
  • Nice to have: Experience hiring for early-stage or hypergrowth AI and ML product teams.
  • Nice to have: Success recruiting engineers in video generation, lip-sync, diffusion, audio processing, or real-time streaming.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with ad-tech hiring at scale (RTB, personalization, streaming infrastructure).
  • Nice to have: Portfolio of outreach copy or campaigns with proven conversion results.
