About the role
- Evaluate students to determine therapy needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Implement individualized occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into daily school activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and comply with relevant educational and therapy regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and certification appropriate for school settings.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a school setting, not including the internship year.
- Ability to design, implement, and modify school-based therapy programs as needed.
- Working knowledge of technology such as virtual tools/personal computers and platforms for data tracking, collaboration, and communication.
- Schedule flexibility (School day hours) and interest in working across time zones.
