About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact with aligned clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables, timeliness, staffing, quality standards, and reporting requirements
- Support Department of Veterans Affairs mission-focused programs as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Lead full-lifecycle project management activities for Veteran-focused programs
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to design clinical interventions
- Perform current-state analyses and create journey maps for future-state proposals
- Conduct primary and secondary industry research into leading clinical practices
- Analyze existing practices and recommend improvements
- Lead development of business cases, change and communications plans, operations manuals, and evaluation plans
- Develop and maintain SOPs, quality control plans, and operational workflows
- Define measurement models and support data-driven decision-making
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor response rates, data quality, and operational effectiveness and implement improvements
- Lead project teams, including staff and subcontractors
- Support onboarding and integration of new staff
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements, performance standards, and reporting expectations
- Maintain client relationships to support long-term growth and business development
- Identify opportunities for follow-on work and task orders, collaborate on capture activities, and contribute to proposals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working on complex team-based engagements in a consulting organization, health-related government entity, or large integrated health care delivery system
- Experience with project management methods and tools
- Experience with consulting methodologies such as change management, process improvement, human-centered design, environmental/market analysis, and/or qualitative and quantitative research
- Ability to independently facilitate work groups of diverse stakeholders
- Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, accessible information for diverse audiences
- Strong writing skills and ability to develop business cases, operations manuals, presentation decks, and communications
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
- Ability to obtain a public trust
- Preferred: Master's degree in Public Health or related discipline
- Preferred: PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agile, or other certification
- Preferred: Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or large health systems
- Preferred: Experience designing and developing health care improvement programs and interventions
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience managing the lifecycle of a health care pilot
