About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support for over 130 employees across five locations in Germany
IT environment: modern infrastructure with multiple VM clusters (over 230 VMs, Windows/Linux) connected to a SAN
Planning, provisioning, operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, IT services and systems
Ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services
Ensuring IT security
Evaluating, configuring and implementing system extensions to meet new requirements
Organizing IT procurement as well as vendor and resource management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent qualification
Professional experience in system/network administration
Technical knowledge in the following areas: Windows or Linux servers (Ubuntu)
Web services (Apache, IIS)
Mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
IP networking (LAN and WAN), DHCP & DNS
Network & system management (Nagios, SNMP)
Experience with virtualization (VMware)
