About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support for over 130 employees across five locations in Germany
  • IT environment: modern infrastructure with multiple VM clusters (over 230 VMs, Windows/Linux) connected to a SAN
  • Planning, provisioning, operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, IT services and systems
  • Ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services
  • Ensuring IT security
  • Evaluating, configuring and implementing system extensions to meet new requirements
  • Organizing IT procurement as well as vendor and resource management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent qualification
  • Professional experience in system/network administration
  • Technical knowledge in the following areas: Windows or Linux servers (Ubuntu)
  • Web services (Apache, IIS)
  • Mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
  • IP networking (LAN and WAN), DHCP & DNS
  • Network & system management (Nagios, SNMP)
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware)
