About the role
- What would you do at Prisma? As a Staff Developer Advocate , you’ll own outcomes that directly support Prisma’s product growth. You’ll take high-level goals and turn them into strategies, initiatives, and launches that expand Prisma’s reach, grow our community, and accelerate adoption of our products.
- Leading launches and campaigns
- Take responsibility for the communication and messaging of product and feature launches, ensuring they land with clarity, consistency, and impact, meaningfully contributing to product adoption.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to amplify launches across channels.
- Driving team KPIs
- Own strategies and initiatives tied to our team’s goals: web visitors, social reach, and community growth.
- Translate company-level objectives into actionable projects with measurable impact.
- Community Engagement
- Expand Prisma’s presence across platforms (Twitter, Reddit, HackerNews, LinkedIn, Discord), ensuring Prisma is represented in conversations that matter.
- Developer Education
- Ensure developers have the resources they need to succeed, from guides and tutorials to cross-tool examples.
- Product Feedback
- Ensure feedback loops between developers and Prisma stay active, scalable, and actionable.
- Mentorship & team enablement
- Provide guidance to Senior and Junior Developer Advocates, unblocking projects and raising the bar on execution across the company.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Developer Advocacy, Developer Relations, or a related function, with demonstrable impact on growth outcomes (reach, adoption, community size).
- Experience creating developer-focused content, from ideation to publishing, in various formats such as guides, videos, tutorials.
- Experience leading high-impact launches and campaigns, owning them from planning through execution.
- Deep technical expertise in databases (especially Postgres), with strong knowledge of related technologies (SQL, cloud platforms, APIs, Node.js, TypeScript).
- Strong strategic mindset: ability to identify growth opportunities Prisma isn’t yet leveraging and turn them into results.
- Autonomy: able to explore ambiguous problem spaces, define the solution path, and deliver results without close oversight.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), able to align cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively with developers.
- Active participation in open-source communities.
- Experience building growth playbooks for developer-facing products.
- Prior involvement in partnerships or integrations that expanded product reach.
