About the role
- Analyze, mine, and document complex healthcare claims and authorization datasets to identify patterns and trends using scripting, data blending, visualization, and statistical programming tools
- Translate high‑level business problems into data‑driven insights, potential strategies, and actionable solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, validate data sources, acquire datasets, and organize data into accessible, analysis‑ready formats
- Interpret analytical results and present findings as compelling data stories that answer stakeholder questions and support decision‑making at all organizational levels
- Identify and resolve complex business challenges through data analytics, statistical modeling, and appropriate methodological approaches
- Perform ad hoc analyses of varying complexity, delivering clear, timely, and actionable insights aligned with business objectives
- Provide detailed status updates and reporting on project progress, including task-level time allocation and milestones
- Coordinate, guide, and mentor analytics work performed by internal staff and external consultants to ensure accurate and timely project delivery
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of work experience in healthcare analytics
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communicator able to translate and explain technical data and insights to non-technical audience
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefit structures, drug pricing and claims processing
- Familiarity with drug coding systems (NDC) and medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS)
