About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead-level backend ownership
- Make architecture decisions independently
- Design systems with long-term scalability in mind
- Turn ambiguous product needs into production-ready backend solutions
- Design and own backend services in NestJS and TypeScript
- Build and maintain GraphQL APIs across a microservices environment
- Own database design, optimization, and reliability in Postgres
- Define technical direction, not just implementation details
- Set and enforce quality standards across both AI-generated and manually written code
- Contribute to system design, infrastructure decisions, testing strategy, and developer productivity
- Operate in an AI-first workflow without compromising engineering standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 3+ years of work experience with Development
- At least 3 years of work experience in Node.Js
- At least 3 years of work experience in Typescript
- At least 3 years of work experience with databases
- At least 3 years of work experience with NestJS
- At least 3 years of experience in GraphQL
- At least 3 years of experience in Postgres
- Strong with AI tools in software engineering workflows
- Ability to use AI to speed up implementation, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving
- Comfortable owning architecture and raising the technical bar in a high-accountability environment.
