About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide single-point customer service to customers, vendors, and co-workers to identify and schedule work requirements
  • Compile and record facilities production and customer data based on written and verbal work requirements
  • Coordinate, control, and schedule work, including work requests, work authorization documents, utility shutdowns, and support services
  • Inspect files and database entries for current, accurate, and complete documentation
  • Coordinate with tenant commands to resolve facility damage and good-order issues
  • Prepare, review, issue, monitor, and update work-control and facility-occupancy forms
  • Inspect barracks facilities, coordinate repairs with Facilities Maintenance Division, and track work requests through completion
  • Coordinate data for government customers and systems
  • Liaise between the UPH Division, Resident Support Office, barracks residents, and unit leadership
  • Assign, terminate, and maintain inspections of work performed by facilities maintenance staff and contractors
  • Monitor maintenance work requests and submit requests for necessary repairs
  • Perform quarters and recurring common-area and grounds inspections
  • Frequently travel between facilities
  • Perform other duties and special production projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in work control, customer service or demonstrated ability to use CMMS systems, and knowledge of work control standards and practices
  • Ability to follow directions, structured processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to inquiries and requests from vendors, customers, and management
  • Ability to manage and accurately track data and adapt to changing work priorities
  • Ability to follow established safety rules and office ergonomics
  • Ability to build effective working relationships
  • Organizational, problem-solving and common sense skills
  • Ability to use computers, printers, fax machine, and office phone systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Working knowledge of structural and mechanical items, facilities, and furnishings of dwellings
  • Experience or knowledge of student or residential housing management operations
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in a related field and project management certification, OR three (3) years of experience in the property management field/discipline
  • Valid Driver's License may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements
  • Ability to maneuver around equipment, bend, stoop, reach, utilize keyboard, monitor computer systems, answer/make phone calls, communicate with others, and lift boxes up to 25 pounds
