About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and technical issues associated with Epic software
- Design, build, test, and maintain Epic solutions
- Provide tier-2 support for application incidents, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required
- Resolve application incidents, maintenance items, enhancement requests, upgrades, updates, and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues, subject matter experts, end users, and cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain requirements, specifications, and test cases for new or enhanced functionality
- Create, review, and update test scripts to reflect workflow solutions
- Modify Epic records, tables, and master files to support application design and changes
- Implement changes using documented, policy-compliant procedures
- Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain meeting records
- Support the training team by communicating new functionality and system changes
- Create new workflows in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Develop solutions that improve end-user productivity and effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of IT or business experience
- 2 years of Epic-specific experience
- 6 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Epic certified in the supported application
- Additional proficiency, certification, or badges in a related application area
- Advanced understanding of the supported Epic application
- General understanding of clinical and revenue cycle applications
- Understanding of workflows, application integrations, downstream systems, and integrated workflows
- Ability to work independently 100% of the time
- Required Certificate: Epic Optime
- Remote applicants must reside in the United States, except California, Illinois, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, Washington, and Wyoming
- Individuals within 60 miles of Albuquerque are expected to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
