About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluates and coordinates activities during surgical procedures by anticipating staff needs and necessary supplies.
- Adheres to proper surgical procedures of aseptic technique and safety in the use of instruments and equipment.
- Maintains an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments.
- Gathers supplies and instruments and assemble before procedures.
- Ensure that specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school or GED
- BLS required
- Prefers knowledge of surgical and radiologic procedures
- I.V. certification is preferred
