About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepares/assists in preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other financial reports related to month end close
- Analyzing trends and coordinating and assisting with internal and external audits
- Performs routine and correcting journal entries and account reconciliations for the more complex accounting areas
- Manages monthly close schedule and verifies that all steps have been completed in a timely fashion
- Generates monthly reports after close, including revenue and expense analysis and budget to actual analysis
- Assists in preparation of ad-hoc projects, prepares audit workpapers and requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred over Finance)
- Active CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
- 4 to 6 years experience in Accounting /Finance or related area
- Experience in healthcare industry strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting and accruals
- Experience supporting cross-functional areas such as Finance, HR, Legal, and strategic initiatives
- Exposure to capital transactions, investment activity, revenue cycle, or similar financial operations
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, such as Workday, Oracle, or Sage Intacct
