About the role
- Conduct patrols, monitor safety and security risks, respond to incidents, and support emergency preparedness efforts.
- Conduct routine and ad‑hoc patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and safety or infection‑control hazards.
- Document all shift activities through accurate logs, incident reports, and required written documentation.
- Respond to security‑related incidents such as workplace violence reports, requests for escorts, and other calls for service.
- Support emergency and safety operations, including assisting medical staff with violent, agitated, or restrained individuals.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and extended standing.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- Less than one year experience in general security, however 1 year security experience is preferred.
- Must have a current New Mexico driver's license
- Must be insurable by Presbyterian Healthcare Services
