About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct patrols, monitor safety and security risks, respond to incidents, and support emergency preparedness efforts.
Conduct routine and ad‑hoc patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and safety or infection‑control hazards.
Document all shift activities through accurate logs, incident reports, and required written documentation.
Respond to security‑related incidents such as workplace violence reports, requests for escorts, and other calls for service.
Support emergency and safety operations, including assisting medical staff with violent, agitated, or restrained individuals.
Perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and extended standing.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school or equivalent
Less than one year experience in general security, however 1 year security experience is preferred.
Must have a current New Mexico driver's license
Must be insurable by Presbyterian Healthcare Services
