About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production cycle, making adjustments as needed.
- Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
- Document production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered during shifts.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment malfunctions and quality concerns.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic understanding of machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as work orders and blueprints.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
- Certification in injection molding or plastics manufacturing (preferred).
- Experience with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment (preferred).
- Familiarity with computerized machine controls and data entry systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment (preferred).
