About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Family intervention specialists are an advocate for the families in any involved system they are a part of.
Specialists work with DCP&P staff regularly to assist families in successfully addressing needs and strengthening the family system.
Specialists provide individualized family sessions in the home & community settings.
Specialists provide an average of three face-to-face sessions with the family a week.
Specialists must also have their own transportation to use for work purposes.
Family intervention specialists are responsible for providing after hours support to families using a rotating on-call schedule.
Family intervention intercept specialists are not required to provide transportation for families they are serving; however, it may be a need if all other means of transportation support have been exhausted.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education - Master’s degree in the field of social work, psychology, or related field is preferred or bachelor's degree in social services with one-year related experience in counseling and/or case management is required.
Experience - Prior case management and/or counseling experience preferred.
License - Valid New Jersey Driver's License in good standing
Bilingual in Spanish a plus - incentive $1000.00
