About the role

  • The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for gathering, defining, decomposing, and documenting functional system requirements needed for the development of new workflows/business processes on an existing software platform.
  • Experience leading a small functional team of software engineers within a larger project team is desired but not required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional developer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience in gathering and authoring functional system requirements and technical documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to capture evolving needs and features, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Familiarity with workflow/business process engineering
  • Experience documenting interfaces between new and legacy systems
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend and articulate intricate technical details to various audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously towards long-range objectives under consultative direction
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience utilizing collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience leading a small functional team of software engineers within a larger project team is desired but not required.
  • Clearance : Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.
