About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and secure new business opportunities across USCA according to SEM's priorities.
- Expand distribution coverage by onboarding and supporting new distributors, jobbers, and retail partners.
- Lead commercial programs focused on categories including abrasives, masking, aerosols, body fillers, and paint cups.
- Develop business cases, growth plans, and clear financial targets for new opportunities.
- Partner with our regional sales teams to accomplish Allied portfolio plans.
- Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and large body shop groups to evaluate performance and identify growth actions.
- Work with Marketing to develop sales tools, training materials, and category promotions.
- Translate insight into applicable recommendations for pricing, product positioning, promotions, and channel strategies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or category management in automotive refinish, industrial distribution, or related markets.
- Knowledge of SEM Allied Products.
- Negotiation skills, and ability to close opportunities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG’s FAVR program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
