About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic and operational direction to all the operation activities at the Petaling Jaya Plant
- Oversee all operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production and compliance with industry standards
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects
- Run a safe and compliant plant under local legislation and PPG EHSMS Requirements
- Oversee quality control systems to meet automotive industry standards
- Drive and monitor production to achieve production targets
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance
- Lead, coach, and guide development of plant staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 10 years in industrial/production-based role in senior and managerial positions
- Demonstrated change management experience in manufacturing projects and cultural change
- Superb interpersonal skills to overcome technical or relationship barriers and resistance to change
- Experience leading operations across multiple business units or products within a single facility
- Demonstrated track record in managing a unionized workforce and handling collective bargaining, grievances, and industrial relations
