About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage international orders by coordinating between clients, logistics teams, and customs, ensuring accurate documentation (bill of lading, invoices) and shipment delivery.
- Place orders, track cargo, resolve delivery issues, and maintain a high level of communication with overseas agents to meet compliance and service standards.
- Enter, track, and manage sales order and export bookings in company systems (e.g., SAP, OTM).
- Prepare and verify accurate export documentation, including customs paperwork and bills of lading, to comply with international regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide shipment updates.
- Arrange for cargo pickup and delivery, ensuring compliance with air or ocean freight standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in documentation.
- Ensure accurate, timely invoicing and generate performance reports.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or international shipping.
- Understanding of export regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Experience interpreting and responding to customer questions and requests, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in tracking software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business or logistics is preferred.
