About the role
- Manage an Approved Supplier List (ASL) through on-site audits and supplier qualification
- Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace regulations, customer-specific requirements, and industry standards
- Perform supplier assessments and production readiness assessments to identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Mentor suppliers in Continuous Improvement Management principles to optimize the supply chain
- Conduct value stream and capacity analyses, proposing process improvements
- Support New Product Introduction by ensuring supplier capacity and capability
- Investigate supplier non-conformances and drive corrective actions by issuing SCARs to maintain a reliable and high-quality supply chain
- Analyze supplier SCAR metrics to identify trends and root causes of systemic issues
- Maintain open communication with suppliers, providing feedback on performance and addressing any quality concerns or issues
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure that high-quality parts and services meet all requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field (Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, etc.)
- 3+ years of related Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Engineering experience
- QMS Internal Auditor Certification preferred
- Lead Auditor Certification (ex. AS9100, ISO9001, IATF16949) preferred
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
