About the role

  • As an integral member of Our Home's leadership team, the VP of Procurement will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence for all procurement and supply chain functions across the organization. This senior leadership role will ensure that Our Home has the right products, at the right time, in the right quantities to meet consumer demand while optimizing costs.
  • The VP of Procurement will oversee a team dedicated to sourcing high-quality ingredients and materials for our snack brands while establishing strong relationships with suppliers. The role will also involve collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including operations, finance, marketing, and sales, to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Establish metrics for evaluating supplier performance and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to ensure that procurement aligns with product development and promotional strategies.
  • Direct raw material inventory management process, ensuring optimal stock levels across the supply chain
  • Monitor market trends and manage commodity risks to mitigate the impact of price volatility on the organization.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the procurement team.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and best practices related to sourcing, purchasing, and financial controls.
  • Report to the CEO on procurement metrics, strategic initiatives, and overall supply chain performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a CPG environment, specifically in food or beverage industries.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory control principles.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships to achieve strategic goals.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing cost-saving initiatives and driving process improvements.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to support procurement initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management software; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 15%)
