About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership for engineering teams, projects, and business initiatives
  • Lead engineering support for capital projects, facility improvements, and operational initiatives
  • Develop engineering design strategies, project scopes, cost estimates, and resource plans
  • Oversee engineering work performed by internal teams and third-party engineering firms to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage engineering resources, budgets, forecasts, and project performance
  • Drive workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and team engagement
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with operations, project management, technical services, contractors, and other business stakeholders
  • Serve as a technical leader, subject matter expert, and change agent supporting critical business initiatives
  • Develop strategies for leveraging internal and external engineering resources to meet evolving business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering, operations, project execution, or related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading projects, engineering teams, or major initiatives
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Experience leading engineering design and project execution activities for capital projects
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), engineering standards, and document management systems
  • Experience managing external engineering consultants and contractor resources
