About the role

  • Create insightful Power BI dashboards that effectively communicate data insights through compelling visuals and intuitive layouts
  • Ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for all dashboard users; conduct user testing and gather feedback
  • Transform raw data into compelling narratives using effective visual communication techniques
  • Maintain consistent branding and visual style across Power BI dashboards
  • Ensure daily data refresh and validation; monitor dashboards for data anomalies and alerts
  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries for Power BI datasets and reports
  • Document report changes, data issues, and resolutions within Jira tickets
  • Review and improve visual effectiveness and UI/UX of existing dashboards
  • Triage and prioritize visualization requests based on impact

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required before applying
  • Strong Power BI development skills (DAX, Power Query)
  • Data analytics, modeling and ETL experience
  • Expert in Power BI data visualization techniques
  • Strong eye for design and aesthetics (color theory, typography, layout)
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards that tell a story with data
  • Experience using Jira for documentation and issue tracking
  • Familiarity with data dictionary concepts and creation
  • Willingness to undergo drug testing and federal background investigation as required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (employment verification)
