About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Enable and Certify New Technologies: Lead the lifecycle of new market tools, conducting technical validation and certification of software and providing internal consulting to other teams on technology adoption.
Define Standards and Practices: Establish robust architectural standards and develop software engineering accelerators that help development squads deliver faster and with higher quality.
Foster Innovation: Act as a transformative agent within the company by researching market trends and exploring new technical concepts not yet mapped by the area.
Partnership and Internal Support: Support the Solution Architecture team in designing innovative flows for new and complex business needs.
Knowledge Sharing: Deliver presentations, workshops and internal events to promote new architectural standards and guides, keeping Porto's engineering teams aligned and up to date.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
Experience and Practical Skills:
Foundation in Development: Solid professional background as a Programmer (Backend or Fullstack) with at least 5 years of software engineering experience.
DevOps Culture and Practices: Proficiency in continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD), building and optimizing pipelines and deployment automations.
Container Operation and Architecture: Advanced knowledge of container ecosystems (image management, Dockerfile, Helm Charts, routing and Ingress).
Systems Integration: Expertise in RESTful API architecture and consumption, modern network communication protocols and enterprise messaging solutions.
Tools in Our Day-to-Day: Practical experience and ease of working with our stack:
Containerization and Orchestration: Docker and Rancher.
Integration and Continuous Delivery: Jenkins.
Dependency and Build Managers: Maven (Java) and Npm (Node.js).
Differentials (A plus if you have): Artificial Intelligence: Familiarity or practical experience designing solutions and integrations involving GenAI, traditional AI or Machine Learning.
Recommended Courses and Certifications: Agile Methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
Cloud Certifications (AWS, GCP or Azure).
Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or Docker certifications.
